We are seeking on behalf of our client, a highly experienced and technically Senior Java Backend Engineer to join their team in Greece.

Working in a fully remote setup from Greece, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services, leveraging modern Java frameworks and cloud-native practices for a renowned EU project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend microservices using Quarkus and/or SpringBoot.
• Manage and optimize database structures and migrations utilizing PostgreSQL alongside Liquibase or Flyway.
• Leverage Redis for efficient caching architectures and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and actively contribute to DevOps practices to streamline continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

What we are looking for:

• Experience: 5+ years of proven professional experience in Java Backend Engineering.
• Framework Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise with Quarkus and/or SpringBoot.
• Data & Caching: Strong background in relational databases (PostgreSQL), database migration tools (Liquibase/Flyway), and in-memory data structures (Redis).
• DevOps Culture: Solid familiarity with modern DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, high autonomy, and fluent communication skills in English (C1 level).
